Your solo retreat into nature
Perhaps you need a break from routine, or feel burnt out from a demanding
lifestyle. Perhaps you are a devoted meditator or yogi longing for quiet time
to immerse yourself in Nature and still the mind. Nature has many secrets
to share when we are open to receive.
So much of modern Western life revolves around achieving, pursuing,
acquiring, and seeking a job, a career, money, security, happiness, love.
Rarely do we allow ourselves the space to simply be receptive, present,
and open to what the universe is already offering. Maybe the bliss we are
searching for is closer than we think, and a deep immersion in Nature,
along with gentle introspection, is exactly what is needed.
At The Tree Of Life, you may choose a short- or longer-term stay in the
Meditation Hut, the first building to appear here, around 2004. Set apart
from the other structures, it offers true solitude and deep quiet. The night
sky here is extraordinary, with the Milky Way and celestial fireworks often
blessing the darkness. Days may include visits to magical waterfalls and
hidden gems along the misty forest trails.
If you feel called to be closer to the activities at The Tree Of Life, the Cedar
Chalet offers a different kind of experience. Located near the Yoga Studio,
this charming chalet supports an off-the-grid, rustic lifestyle beloved by
visiting artists, couples, and young families. Built from old-growth red cedar,
originally salvaged from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. John’s, this
space carries history in its walls. It has sheltered many over the years and
even served as the central kitchen in the early days, before the main
building, “Kabbalah”, was completed.
If this speaks to you, we warmly invite you to reach out.
