A JOURNEY THROUGH THE KOSHAS

Description

You arrive and the air itself feels softer- The forest, The waterfalls The sunlight. You already sense that you are embarking on a journey to slow down, reconnect  with your body and breath And discover a steady rhythm that’s been waiting with you.

This experience blends slow movement, rest and mindfulness to help release what’s heavy and return to what’s true.

During our weekend together, we will connect with the koshas – The different aspects that make us human. The koshas are the “ sheaths” or layers that shielded us from the truth. The truth = The ultimate reality and understanding of the connection of all things. Our goal is to restore balance and bring awareness to each kosha In order to ease suffering and have connection to spiritual self.

The five koshas are:

Annamaya kosha- the physical body which is balanced through Asana ( yoga practice)

Pranamaya kosha – the energetic/Breath body which is balanced through pranayama ( breath control)

Manomaya kosha – the mental body which  is balanced through Chant & mantras.

Vijnanamaya kosha – the wisdom & Intuitive body which is balanced through meditation

Anandamaya kosha- the Bliss body  which is balanced through meditation, prayer  surrender ,  connection and nature.

Our time together is designed to help you find the natural peace and bliss within. 

* Open and balance your intuition and heart.

* experience how meditation and self inquiry can lead to health and healing.

* Expand with practical movement and breath base practices that work.

 

What’s Included:

* two nights of shared accommodations in the “bunkhouse”.

* Healthy vegetarian meals, water, juice, coffee, and tea. Snacks are not included.

* Morning and evening yoga practice to embrace body, breath awareness and balance.

* Morning and evening connection through chant and song to instill peace and remember yourself.

* Meta meditation practice to open our hearts and create kindness, forgiveness, understanding and love to self and all beings. 

* An evening  Fire to further connect with one another and nature.

* Daytime opportunities include hiking, a waterfall swim, time assisting in the garden for grounding and earthing, and ample downtime to simply rest and relax on the sacred land.

Jennifer Ellsworth is a yoga instructor and has been offering classes and wellness events for 12 years. She is the owner of Balanced life studio in Carbonear Newfoundland. She has dedicated 25 years into helping others bring self-care and self-awareness into their lives through massage therapy, Aromatherapy, Meditation and yoga. She is currently enrolled in yoga therapy studies to become an internationally accredited yoga therapist.

Her mission is to help others ease suffering by returning to balance within the body, breath, mind, heart, and soul. Her purpose is to Empower you and discover the truth of who you really are.

*** A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required upon registration. Full balance due by May 5, 2026

*** Three weeks prior to the retreat start date ( May 15th) All payments are nonrefundable.
